All Natural Heritage Pork
Are you looking for great tasting pork, bacon, and sausage? We raise Large Black Hogs and crossbreds, which are a heritage breed originally from England. The Large Black is known for its excellent bacon and superior marbling, producing pork that simply melts in your mouth. This is restaurant quality pork.
All of our pigs are raised naturally. They live outside on pasture, although the young ones are actually free-range and like to come into the barn and nestle into hay and straw when it gets cold outside. (See above photo.) Our pigs are treated respectfully and humanely from birth to butcher. They are fed only high quality, locally milled peas and barley, whatever comes out of our garden, or what they find out in the pasture. We never feed our pigs "junk" food. We never give them antibiotics, hormones, or GMO feed. Our sows don't know what gestation crates or farrowing crates are. We don't wean our piglets until at least 8 weeks old to ensure they have had the best start possible.
To order your whole or 1/2 hog custom butchered, please call us as soon as possible. We require a $100 deposit at ordering time. We charge $3.25/lb. plus processing fees. Usually, a half hog comes to around $500-600 total, which averages out to about $6 per pound of meat.
We also sell a 30 lb. variety pack, which is very freezer friendly. The variety pack sells for $210.
We sell individual pork cuts at the farm.
If you are looking for feeder pigs, we usually have some available at all seasons. 9 week old feeder pigs are $130-$150, depending on breeding. The price goes up as they get bigger.
If you are looking for registered Large Black Hog breeding stock, we have several litters a year. Registered piglets sell for $350.

About our Farm
We are a small family farm on 550 acres in eastern Washington, about 1 hour west of Spokane on Hwy 2. Pigs are our main focus, but we also have horses, chickens (we sell eggs at the road), too many ducks, a goose, and dairy goats. And, of course, Great Pyrenees livestock guard dogs to protect everyone from coyotes, since all animals are on pasture or free-ranging. We don't sell goat milk, but once in a while, in the spring, I will sell a dairy goat with her kids. I let the kids nurse on my dairy goat, and just milk once a day, in the morning. This way, I don't have to bottle feed kids or be encumbered by milking twice a day. In the fall, I usually sell or donate any whethers (castrated males) born the previous spring.
